Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2025

Look, we're architects, not data miners. Here's how we handle your info - straightforward, no corporate jargon.

We get it - nobody actually enjoys reading privacy policies. We've tried to make this one less painful. Bottom line: we collect what we need to do our job, we don't sell your data, and we're not gonna spam you with nonsense.

When you reach out about a project or just wanna chat about sustainable design, we'll typically ask for:

  • Your name and how to contact you (email, phone - the basics)
  • Company info if you're representing an organization
  • Project details - scope, location, timeline, that sort of thing
  • Any specific requirements or concerns you've got

We also collect some technical stuff automatically when you visit our site - IP address, browser type, pages you check out. Standard web stuff, nothing creepy. Helps us figure out if our site's actually working properly.

Pretty straightforward here. We use what you give us to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and get conversations started
  • Prepare proposals and project documentation
  • Keep you updated on your project's progress
  • Send occasional updates about our work - but only if you've said that's cool
  • Improve our services based on feedback and interactions
  • Meet legal and regulatory requirements (yeah, there's paperwork in architecture)

We're not out here selling mailing lists or bombarding you with marketing garbage. That's not our style.

Your info stays pretty locked down. We might share it with:

  • Our project team members who need it to get the work done
  • Trusted consultants and contractors working on your project (engineers, specialists, etc.)
  • Legal or regulatory authorities if required by law
  • Professional liability insurers if something goes sideways (knock on wood)

We don't hand over your details to random third parties, data brokers, or marketing companies. Period. Anyone who does see your info has confidentiality obligations - it's part of how we work.

Yeah, we use cookies. Not the chocolate chip kind, unfortunately. These are small files that help our site remember you and work better.

We use 'em for:

  • Keeping the site functioning properly
  • Remembering your preferences
  • Understanding how people use the site so we can make it less annoying

Most browsers let you control cookies through settings. Turn 'em off if you want, though some parts of the site might get a bit wonky.

It's your data. Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA, if you're into acronyms), you've got rights:

  • Check what info we've got on you
  • Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
  • Request deletion of your data (unless we legally need to keep it)
  • Opt out of marketing communications anytime
  • Lodge a complaint with the Privacy Commissioner if you think we've screwed up

Wanna exercise any of these rights? Just shoot us an email at info@titanshroud.info or give us a call. We'll sort it out.

We take security seriously - kinda like how we approach structural integrity in our designs. Your data's protected with:

  • Encrypted connections (SSL/TLS) for data transmission
  • Secure servers with restricted access
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Staff training on privacy and security practices

No system's bulletproof, but we're doing everything reasonable to keep your info safe. If there's ever a breach, we'll let you know promptly - as required by law and basic human decency.

We don't hoard data forever. Here's the deal:

  • Project-related info: kept for at least 10 years after project completion (architectural standards and legal requirements)
  • General inquiries: typically 2-3 years, then deleted if there's no ongoing relationship
  • Marketing consent records: until you tell us to stop or the relationship ends
  • Financial records: 7 years minimum (tax people are picky about this)

Once we don't need it anymore and aren't legally required to keep it, we'll securely delete or anonymize your information.

Privacy laws evolve, our practices might shift a bit, so we'll update this policy as needed. When we make significant changes, we'll post a notice on our site and update the date at the top.

For major changes affecting how we handle your data, we'll reach out directly if we've got your contact info.

Questions? Don't be shy. Reach out at info@titanshroud.info or call us at (416) 555-0147. We're happy to chat about how we handle your information.
